At least you've taken the trouble to respond .... and thanks for that. The fella who made the comment has made it here on this forum a number of times since late last year. Each time I've seen him do it I've politely asked for his sources, but with absolutely no response from him. Perhaps "foreigners" outside of the good ole US of A don't warrant a response !

My reason for asking, and I've noticed one or two others have also, is that nowhere have I found any such suggestion ...... not on any Sigma websites, Fuji user websites / forums, dp review etc, etc. Nothing at all to back up his suggestion credibly. There is plenty (and good, solid reasons) to find that Sigma DON'T intend to make lenses for Fuji X-Series !!

As a Fuji user I don't watch lots of Sony YouTube videos ....... no need ...... but still am sceptical about Sigma's "supposed" intentions. Can you point me towards any YouTube videos that back this up?

Like me, don't you find it somewhat strange that, given the size of Sigma and their activities in the lens market as quality 3rd party option providers, and given the importance to the world market of any introduction by them of "lenses for Fuji", that there would be announcements in the press, on Sigma's news website, on Fuji's world-wide websites, on sites like Fuji Rumours (which is often extremely accurate and tends to know of such events well in advance)?

Who are these YouTubers, and fellow UHH member, who seem to know stuff which no-one else knows of? I'm interested to know !

Until then I am intensely sceptical !
At least you've taken the trouble to respond .... ... (show quote)

I’ll look for the video for you later today

I haven't seen anyone make note of this possibly important difference between the two systems.Owning both, while I love the X-T2 for everything from its IQ to its ergonomics, I find it's difficult to make use of CPL filters. That is, as you twist the filter on the front of the lens, it's hard (for me at least) to tell when the polarizing effect is at its maximum. As a result of this, I bought a set of Xune magnetic filter holders and have a CPL (also an ND filter) mounted on those - my 18-135MM and 16MM f1.4 lenses have the lens side mount. With this, I can hold the filter in my hand and turn it until the polarizing effect is what I want, then note its orientation (simply be seeing the B+W logo is at, say, the 3 O'clock position). I can then snap the filter on the (tripod mounted) camera with the orientation that I desire.

Since I imagine you might want to be using polarizing filters on landscape shots, this might be worth considering.

In virtually all other respects, the X-T2 is as good or better than the Nikon DSLRs, but there are times when the OVF is just better than the EVFs today.

I also have the Fuji XT2 and shoot mainly landscape. My 10-24 lens fits my CPL with no issues. Also, while I do not have CPLs for my 50/2 or my 18-55 kit lens I don't anticipate any issues.

Are you saying you can see the effect of the filter darkening the sky as you twist it using the X-T2? Because the effect is so minimal in the EVF that it's all but useless - that's why I put the filters on those magnetic holders. The DSLR definitely has an advantage in this department.

Yes. I am saying that I can see the effects of my CPL in the view finder when I install a CPL or a Lee graduated filters in a holder. I only use the CPL filter, as recommended, at 90 degree angle from the sun. If you are using your CPL filter looking at the sun you would not be able to see the effect of this filter.

Oh, I'm familiar with how and shy a CPL filter works - but in my X-T2 EVF as i twist the polarizer the effect is barely noticeable regardless of the sun-subject-lens orientation angle - I guess my eyes are getting old
