Trying to determine if any Hedgehogers have a quality Canon 500mm f/4 lens for sale with the manufacture code of X,Y,Z,A,B,C,D (referring only to 2009 and beyond) for sale. Difficult to get the eBay salers to declare the manufacture code.

I have a "Canon 500mm f/4L EF IS II (USM) Lens" that I bought new from B&H Photo on February 13, 2013 for $10,399. They now sell new for $8,999. By your reference to "2009 and beyond", I interpreted that as 2009 or more recent. I have been considering selling this lens for a while if I can get a reasonable price for it. It has minimal use and is in like new condition including the hard case and box it came in. It also has the Really Right Stuff replacement mount on it.

I'm not sure where to find the manufacturer code. Also, I'm not sure about the best method for sale and shipping that would be safe for both you and me.

Really appreciate your immediate and helpful response. For now, I better search for a recent, quality Canon 500mm f/4L EF IS I. I suspect you will hear from other "Hoger" members who are searching for a nearly new II. Best to you and yours for 2018!
