Good Ole Guns and Butter. Johnson was so busy fighting the war in Vietnam and the War on poverty that he succeeded in neither and left a generation with crippling debt. Hardly the sort that should have been doling out economic advice.
Tax cuts may stimulate the economy but they are not sustainable. Neither is government spending on programs that never end.
