Right now I own a Sony A6000 and since it is my only camera it is my favorite!

When I owned Leica, Cannon, Nikon, Pentax, Yashica, Minox and Kodak they were my favorite cameras!

Okay just saying that over the years you have amassed 15+(film/digital) cameras or so, different brands, for arguments sake- 3 Sony. 6 Canon, a couple Pentax, and 10 Nikon (2 SLR) / would you use them all, any favorites, or any?

Have you ever used any of them?

If so what would be your favorite? If so why?

Favorite subject matter?

Would you post your work on a site like this? If not where?

Should each camera get equal air time for the same subject matter under the same conditions?

Swede

Is this a valid question?

1- Several film cameras over the years - favorite the Canon Elan 7Ne - but sold all of my film equipment to buy digital equipment.
2- Used them all at one time or another. In the early days I had one camera at a time. I have four digital cameras now - Canon 5D, Canon 5DMkII, Canon SL-1, Canon G12.
3- My favorites are the 5D and 5DMkII because they have the options I need and give me the quality I want. My first SLR was a Canon Rebel (film) so I have stayed with Canon because I know the operating system and have the lenses. I use the SL-1 with a 24mm pancake lens as a walk around camera. It forces me to see things differently and think differently about what I see and how to photograph it. And it provides a bit of nostalgia - memories of my old single lens, range finder cameras from the film days. I use the G12 when I have to carry light and take snaps.
4- Capturing the art in manufactured products with emphasis on antique farm implements and tractors and their components. Also, Ag scenes and family.
5- I haven't posted here but may. I belong to two camera clubs and post on their sites.
6- Not in my work.

Brandwise, I'd say it's in the order I got them, Leica, Bronica, NIkon, Graphic, Hasselblad, Sony. Yes, I use them all, some more than others, but they all get air time.
Subject, after the start of the internet, landscape, or whatever else catches my attention.
I've learned over the years that each of the cameras does have its strong points. I use them accordingly.

Compared to some of you, I am a rank amateur. Granted, I am NOT a pro, photography has always been a hobby. Before SLRs I had a brownie Hawkeye and a Polaroid. SLRs: Minolta, Konica(3). DSLRs Canon (3, 2 still used), Megazoom: Canon (still used).

Most used today: Canon 80D. Why? Most features that make life easier, best IQ. Why the brand? It had to be Canon or Nikon, best deal on 1st camera (and strobe) was a Canon XT with 550EX. The 550Ex is still my only external strobe, I never set up a studio.

I appreciate that Nikon has done a lot to not abandon their old lens mounts

[quote=burkphoto]Have you ever used any of them?

Only about 25% of them.

1 Canon, 1 Nikon, 2 Minolta, Pentax (68; film 110 to 6x7 and 4 DSLR's), 1 Yashica, 2 Minolta, Kodak (2 Box cameras, 1 35mm Signet and 1 old folding type), 1 Voigtlander TLR, 1 Rolliflex TLR, 2 Revere Stereo 35mm,

If so what would be your favorite? If so why?

Pentax LX because of build quality and features, The Pentax 6x7 because of image size and good glass. The Pentax K-1 because of quality of build, feel in my hands and it does stuff no other camera will do, plus all my Pentax K mount lenses are usable on it, even the 6x7 lenses with an adapter.

Favorite subject matter? Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.

Would you post your work on a site like this? If not where? Have posted 1 image here and a few on Facebook.

Should each camera get equal air time for the same subject matter under the same conditions? Would you shoot a Lion with a 22?

.

Is this a valid question? It hooked me so I think so.

I have had a number of different cameras over the 50 years I've been hooked.I presently own and USE a Canon Digital ELPH(fits in my shirt pocket on a neck-chain) I keep it on me almost ALWAYS. It's 12 megaPixels and has shake reduction. I also have, and use a Nikon P-900 & with its' 84X lens, it is FUN. My "real" cameras are all PENTAX. I thought I'd like a mirror-less, SMALLER camera so I bought the Pentax K-01. Not small and Only had an lcd screen. Lousy for out doors in sunlight. I then bought a K-5. Loved it, and still use it...Bought a K-S2, great little bugger and has an articulating lcd, plus viewfinder. I'm now back in "FAT-CITY" as the proud owner/user of a PENTAX K-1. Of all the cameras I've ever owned, The K-1 is my all-time-favorite. I'm very attracted to the FUJI x-t2 & X-t20, so..woe is me!! RJM

I don't keep old cameras, however i have used a few.
The favourite is usually the latest (depending on what and where I am shooting) except for one (a Mamiya TLR)
"Favorite subject matter?"
Depends on what day it is and where I am.
"Would you post your work on a site like this? If not where?"
I have posted it here and other locations.
" Should each camera get equal air time for the same subject matter under the same conditions"
No
"Is this a valid question?"
In this case yes.
