A very good example of how the media can influence perception!

That is especially true among younger people with no firsthand knowledge and limited perception to begin with.

With all the hullabaloo about Mohammad Ali, albeit a great fighter, here is one more silenced t***h.

Rocky did not play with his foes, he simply beat the crap out of them!

The Greatest Heavyweight Champ

When's the last time you heard the name Marciano mentioned on any sports show?

If you grew up in the 40’s and 50’s, you listened to most of his fights on radio since they weren't carried on the limited TV (ABC, NBC & CBS) of the time and Pay Per View didn’t exist.

His fights with Ezzard Charles, a black, were epics. Rocky didn't know about "Rope a Dope".

His secret trick was to just put his opponent to sleep in the middle of the ring . . .. 49 wins and no losses.

Since he was white and boxing has been taken over by b****s, he will never be given his due in this PC socially engineered society of the last 60 years or so.

Since the Liberal/Progressives control our culture, society, media and sports, Marciano and his record will be buried forever in sports history.

He is the only undefeated (49 -0) Heavyweight Champion in the history of boxing. He was also drafted and served in the army.

Just so you know…A lot of people have this title confused.

The Greatest Boxer of All Time: Didn't die recently...he died 47 years ago.

He didn't have 5 losses, he had 0. . .. None!

He didn't have 37 Knock Outs he had 43 (88%).

He didn't dodge the draft.

He wasn't a race baiter and sure as hell didn't convert to Islam.

He was a local kid named Rocky Marciano, aka The Brockton Blockbuster.

Don't let the mainstream media idolize false prophets. When he was asked on TV if he could've knocked out Ali in his prime his response was oh so classical!

"I'd be conceited if I said I could've, but I'd be a liar if I said I couldn't".

Real name: Rocco Francis Marchegiano

Now there is a totally unbiased remark if I ever heard one.

Many years ago ( I don't remember when, but Ali was still fighting), one of the local radio stations sponsored
some sort of a computer generated tournament of some of the great heavy weights. The final was a fight
between Ali and Marciano. Marciano won.

Politics and everything else aside, I started watching Cassius Clay on the Wide World of Sports when I was a sophomore in high school. Fortunately it would come on after I'd get home from my J.V. baseball game and I could catch his fights. He was like nothing we'd seen before, even before he became champion. He was quick on his feet and just as quick with his hands. The Ali-Frazier fights have to be three of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time between two of the greatest champions. Joe Frazier was scary as heck. George Foreman, too, was as hard a knock out puncher as there was. Don't knock the rope a dope, Ali took terrific punishment from Foreman until Foreman just tired out. Why Ali never went down for the count I'll never know. I've seen Marciano and he just was not as well conditioned as Ali was. I think it was the time. Had Marciano trained 25 years later, it would have been different. However, despite the losses, etc., considering the fighters he fought and beat, I'd have to say that Ali is the Greatest.

Society doesn't look far back into the past when looking for great popular heroes. We generally look for people we remember seeing. I remember Rocky Marciano and Rocky Graziano from when I was a kid, but I'm 73 now, so he's not exactly a household name. And why should he be? He was a prize fighter, an entertainer, not a national savior.

The REAL t***h is that Mohamed Ali did not "dodge" the draft. He very publicly refused to fight (in a pointless and illegal war to prop up a dictator) on religious grounds. He was stripped of his title because of this. So I wouldn't really call that "dodging" as much as standing up for his principles and paying a price for it.

You realize Marciano weighed 188 pounds and would not be a heavy weight today! He was the greatest for his time but time moves on!

Don't you have better things to do than make a fool of yourself?

Don't you have better things to do than post meaningless drivel. A computer generated fight had Marciano beating Ali.
