Maybe I haven't looked under the right rocks, but do Hhogs ever have assemblies?
My motorcycle friends are, by definition, pretty mobile, and they meet up on a whim. Google the Moonshine I'll run sometime. Peeps travel hundreds/ thousand+ miles for a burger.
Some of you must be nice people..
. Shouldn't we have get-to-gethers (g2g)?
I'll be in St. Louis on Sunday. I'd rather meet photog strangers than hang out with my democrat brother-in-law.
Thoughts?

Good question. I know of at least one UHH'er who would be willing to meet up, but not with a Bike though. Hard to carry a 8x10" View Camera that way.
I know a few Biker - Photographers on FaceBook who would like love meeting up for shoot (possibly). But no idea if that would be with perfect strangers. Not sure how or why I know of them, just coincidental to the photography interest I guess and they know people I know. One of them took a spill recently and was injured pretty badly.

I feel your pain, but I am far from St. Louis...........
I'd suggest we meet to shoot my bro-law, but that might receive mixed reviews.

This is such a fun, and knowledgeable group with great experiences to share, I think we should have a two or three day convention somewhere. I would guess somewhere like St. Louis ----- centrally located. Sorry to our friends in other parts of the world, but to include you in that line of thinking, a central location might be in the middle of the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans. Of course if it caught on and became a yearly event, we could move it other parts of the globe like England or Australia or Turkey. Who knows, this might be an adventure quest for some of us!
What a great idea, "A gathering of the Hogs." Pick a spot that's fun, with photographic opportunities, a place where folks would want to visit. Have a forum or two, even a dinner, and a 'photo of the year' contest. Could be fun.

An interesting idea, but a boat load of organizational, fincancial and logistical challenges for a national meeting. An alternative is the Photographic Society of America (PSA) annual meeting that is typically in September each year. In 2017 it was in Pittsburg. The 2018 meeting will be in Salt Lake City, Utah. I did not see a specific date on the website.
There is an annual membership fee, but it is reasonable as I recall.
