Tonight, Dec.22,2017 at about 5:17 PM, Space X fired off a rocket from Vandenberg AFB. Here are some photos taken with my Nikon D4S and Nikkor 80-400MM lens. Thankfully, the sky was clear.

Is it enroute to the space station or is this a test flight? Pic 3 & 4 look good. I wonder which launch pad they used. In the mid 80's, I worked on Slick-6 launch pad which was suppose to be used for the space shuttle. The pad has some special qualuties that allows the space ship to launch quickly. That was a interesting/good job.
