I need to venture out some. This last weekend I got lucky in that a friend of the family has agreed to pose for me anytime and she is very pretty. Then there was this girl. My wife and I were at a carnival just walking around shooting random photos waiting for it to get dark so we can shoot the fireworks display. It was the 4th, of course.

Anyway, this lady saw us taking pictures and she asked us (me) if we could take a few of her and her family. It was a big family and I was only shooting with my 300mm zoom. My other lenses were in the car. I told them that I would be happy to but not to expect anything great out of me. She did not care.

As she was looking around trying to gather the rest of her family, I shot this candid of her. The lighting was absolutely perfect in my opinion. I just finished emailing her the pix and I just wanted to post this one.

VERY nice. Love the skin tones. She has a nice complexion and those blue eyes look like the background was made for them! Good job!

Yes, she does have a nice complexion. The only thing I did in pp was to enlarge it just a wee bit and crop. She had a small mole and two pimples that I removed. The rest is all her.

FANTASTIC!!! Excellent 'environmental' type portrait with that background, but eliminated any major distraction due to the extreme telephoto. LOVE that pose, lighting, etc. I often find that the "unposed" captures often look the best if we know what we want to capture and then just try to get them to ignore us as we watch, follow and wait.

Any response from this lady? Would be interesting to know what she thought of this nice pic!

I was just talking to my wife about this earlier tonight. Both she and her mother gave me their email addresses so I could email the photos. They did turn out o.k considering that I was running out of light and trying to take a group shot with a 75-300mm zoom.

Anyway, the mother's email bounced back and the daughter never wrote back to thank me. Oh, well. It was good practice.
