OK look at the FACTS;
Individual Standard Deduction INCREASED
Married Standard Ceduction INCREASED
Child Tax Credit INCREASED

Tax Rates (4 tables) all show a decrease of 3%, 3%, 4% and 1%

So why would anyone complain. Do you prefer higher tax rates so as to encourage more government waste on so called “entitlement s”

It’s all bait and switch, my friend. We got it and didn’t even have to bend over.

Y'all can be thankful for your HUGE Xmas gift but don't look at it closely. Because of our narcissistic president, corporations are giving out one time bonuses and are expected to get breaks in return. Who doesn't think the AT&T and Time-Warner deal won't be looked at again? Who doesn't think Wells Fargo didn't know what they were doing when they are facing big fines? Who doesn't know what the ISPs are doing when they just did away with Net Neutrality? Oh, btw, your ISP and major telecom bills are going to go up, mine have already. These corporations are getting back billions and giving away millions. It's called Pay to Play. We're paying dearly and millionaires/billionaires are playing us royally. Trump is dividing the population more deeply than it was. He's too stupid to realize that his v**ers are the ones he's hurting but his donors are fine with that.

Corporations would be really really stupid to put their tax cut money into their own pockets, as you suggest. President Trump has played an ace card. You need to think long term here, not just the next few weeks. Economic growth comes from people getting surprise bonuses, promotions and raises. It gives the confidence to their employees that things are looking up. They have more money, spend it and the economy booms.

When Obama won, people were singing "We're in the money..we're in the money". When Sean Hannity interviewed a woman who called up his show and was singing that over and over, he interrupted her and asked why she was singing that. She said "we're going to get a check in the mail...and it's going to be a good and wonderful check."

Fast forward to today, when folks are actually getting those checks from President Trump.

Trump knows that happy employees work hard to make the company they work for look good. Companies that have happy employees grow. Growing companies = more jobs, raises and promotions.

A lot of these happy employees are going to see where their bonuses, promotions, and new jobs are coming from and v**e for the ones that made it possible for them both in 2018 and 2020.

And therein lies your stupidity.

So...according to you and the "nymag.com", Trump turned on his tv, and became convinced to sign the tax bill that was submitted to him by Congress and v**ed yes by both the House and the Senate, and he says "hey guys, let's turn on the tv so see what they say I should do".

Is that what you think happened?
