January 2011. It is amazing how much more you can see when the leaves are off the trees.

I try. I did almost 37 years in the military and got to do a lot of traveling during those years and have been able to keep it up to some extent since I retired in early 2012. I taught myself photography during my first tour in the Army while stationed in Germany. After switching to the National Guard and becoming a photojournalist I attended a two year photography course and then a Professional Printing course which both came in hands as my Guard unit published a magazine which we wrote the stories, shot and processed the photographs and then laid out the magazine. I spend almost 18 years working on the magazine.

"I try", it does seem, to me at least, that once you do a bit of moving, you somehow want to keep going. The "what's over the next hill" attitude.

THANK YOU for your service!
