Polaroid SX70

I collect old cameras. Generally I do a good cleaning and do my best to identify and date the camera. The SX70 I am currently working on has me currently stumped. I can read the identification number but the website could not find it. Everything I read says the focus bout ton has no markings. Mine has feet marked on it. So I know it is not an original model but that is all. Help please?

Its very possible that the button has been replaced with an aftermarket replacement unit, not that unusual for Polaroids. I have 4 SX-70's and none have markings on the focus dial.

I owned at least 3 versions of the SX-70 and none has the distance marking on the focus wheel.

Is it possible that it's an SX-70 model 3? I don't have this version but since this is not an SLR like the others you have to focus by estimate the distance and set it on the wheel. My bad. Although you have to estimate the distance but the distance scale is on the lens and not the wheel.

Like this, distance scale on the lens face. This scale was also on the lens of the Model 2.

Seems I recall the camera has a pretty effective rangefinder focus and longish DOF. I had and sold a bunch of them. They reached cult status in the artsy craftsy market because of their "time" something film. You could massage the film with various tools, until that film disappeared. The film is now made again, but I recall it does note have the time element any longer for the lomographic crowd.
