Advise vs. Advice

Sorry, just had to do this...
Advice (noun) is what you give someone when you advise them.
Advise (verb) is what you do when you give someone advice.
Please be advised, that your advice is nice.

At what the Deuce are you getting?
I suppose we also need "Title Police".
(So many poorly written, misleading titles...)

I have to say - - ooops, - - write that I am enjoying this one . . .
Your comment here reminded me of that 'age-old' comment that there is
one sentence we might hear from time to time, but it can't be written:
"There are three toos (tos, twos - - ??) in the English language."
Sorry! I had to try to write it in order to get the point across!
My pet peeve is reading "your" when what is obviously meant is "you're" (contraction for "you are"). But mostly, I just translate in my head and let it go.
