A couple of years ago our 2 mating swans were killed by a car & their one offspring has been all by him/herself since.
Then a couple of new swans appeared and he has not left their side since. I think he is trying to impress them &
convince them to say! Swans are not native to our area, so I hope they do stay and make more babies!
I sure hope he/she impresses them so they do stay. Good pics!
I hope they decide to make a home there. Nice captures!
Count me in---
I'm impressed -- Great shots -- Great backlighting
I'm curious since we both shoot the same brand & your the EXIF data is rather sparse --
Can you send along the settings & lens used
Thanks

Hello, I just got the Canon 5DMIV. This is one of my first real attempts using it. I used the Tamron 150-600 and since I was hand holding (heavy!) I really pushed the ISO to see how it would turn out.
So, ISO 2500, 483m f8 and 1/8000 second. I processed in Lightroom. As I first looked at it I was surprised at the noise particularly in the brown grass behind the swan. Did some noise reduction and
I think it looks ok now.
I will be upgrading the Tamron to the new version. This one really hunts and has a hard time locking in on the focus at first. I finally got it to work fairly well & took quite a few photos. So, the lens is not
really bad, but I hope to go to Africa in the next year or so & will upgrade before then. Thanks for looking!
Wonderful shots, let's hope the lothario is successful.
