I was shooting in Troy yesterday with my A6000 - cold and windy. When I uploaded the pictures at home, I saw that at one point - outside in the cold - the camera started taking three pictures with each push of the shutter button. Looking at Metadata in LR, there is no difference in the settings, although each shot looks slightly different. Obviously, my cold hands unknowingly changed a setting, but I don't know what. I'll have to look into this. In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas, let me know.
I posted some pictures in the Photo section - "Troy, NY."
Check your shutter settings, maybe you did change to burst or bracketing.

Right. Looking through the Menu, I saw that it was set to WB bracketing. How I managed to do that without realizing it I can't imagine.

This is one of the problems with modern cameras and all the functions they have. Sometimes the settings change without a know reason. Happens to me somtimes also

You're not by any chance related to Rosemary Woods, are you?
Wow! You just made my day! One of the “Old Hogs” got bested by his camera! As. Head out for a 2 week vacation - and thousands of photos, a few of which will be keepers, it’s good to know that none of us are immune to the cameras outwitting us!
Have a Merry Christmas. Don’t let your cameras outsmart you too much next year :-).

I do that all of the time. However, I think I have a good excuse. When my brain tells my hands to do something, they answer, "Got it, boss" and then do something entirely unrelated without telling my brain what they did.
This happens many times to me and don't worry it happens to everyone of a certain age even though they may not admit it.
My Sony RX 10 does this when set to superior auto. Takes 3 shots and combines them to make the best photo.
Is that the new Green Island Bridge? I was there when the old one fell.

When I looked at his shots, I saw the new green island bridge. Been over the old and now the new many, many times.
