The road over Highwood Pass closes from 1 December to 15 June. We try to drive it each year as close to those dates as possible. Snow squalls coming over the divide and low early afternoon sun didn't offer much contrast.
My apologies, .jpg only.

Thank you for such a fun image to play with. I wanted the rider to appear frozen, and I thought the antique bike was a nice touch. I also tried my hand at actual painting on a layer because it is something I never do and this gives me a chance to begin to learn. Hope this edit provides some entertainment.

That is a good shot, good composition and exposure. I love the traces of snow on the road. I feel like I am in it.
Nice detail from the shadows Matt. Roadside bushes are mostly Dogwood so some red fits.

This road is a favourite ride around here for obvious reasons. Today however unless our gutsy friend is running roofing nails in the tires, well ... and the snow starts 2 miles up.

Nice conversion. Especially the sky. Too often here it's either complete overcast or featureless blue.
I liked this shot a whole lot. I decided not to add any elements to this bright lonely winter scene.

A lot depends on how much time you're willing to spend making selections and working on them.

These three look good.
Exactly R.G.. I've been tidying up one that favours the sky, less road, and adjusting things as a whole wasn't working very well.
Keep 'em coming everybody! Snow shoveling day for me.
Here's what I put together ...
Big thanks to all who took the time to work on this one.
