Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 SOLD. Thanks, Hedgehog.
You probably want a good camera for Christmas, so if you are reading this, your timing is excellent. I just bought myself something new and expensive, so I am selling my Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ200 for $175 with free shipping anywhere in the US. This is a perfect camera for someone who wants to get into serious photography but has less than $200 to spend. Check it out on Amazon: the lowest price for one in “Acceptable” condition on 12/17 was $189, and mine is flawless and guaranteed. The most remarkable feature of this extraordinary camera is its ability to zoom from 25mm wide angle to 600mm extreme telephoto at a constant f/2.8 aperture. I have used this camera for recording classical music concerts, and it takes excellent 1080p video with great sound. Comes with everything that originally came in the box (manual, CD software, USB cable, battery, charger, lens cap, lens hood, and neck strap) plus a CD-ROM of Graham Houghton’s User Guide, a mini-HDMI adapter to connect to your TV, and a 16GB SD card. I just listed on my local Craigslist, but it is still available, so don't let it get away. If you pay by Paypal, I can ship Monday by Priority Mail. Call me with any questions. George, 601-573-6501.
For those in the market, I would say this is an excellent deal. One which I would consider if I didn't already have my Canon SX50. They both have features that improve over the other. DPREVIEW rates yours a little higher than the SX50 though the SX50 has double the focal length. Yours will sell quickly I'm sure. AND, your constant f2.8 aperture is significant.
Thanks for your opinion. It is an excellent camera, but I wanted WiFi and a touch-screen so I bought an FZ300. The new camera is bigger, heavier, and has a shorter battery.
