This is an idea my wife and I had for my niece, Ali, who is an actress in southern California. OK, so this is mostly a digital painting ... however, the clouds and her face are from photos that I shot. Just consider it MASSIVE post work.
It's her Christmas present this year (so don't tell anyone. Her 42" x 22" print will arrive on Tues. I wanted to do something a bit different, so I combined the characters from the Disney classic and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland Through the Looking Glass" movie. I started this on the morning of Dec 10 and just finished it about an hour ago. All told, it was just about a 60 hour project.
This is really wonderful - she is going to love it!

I appreciate that! I hope she loves it, I know I do.
Well done. Looks like something Disney did. They might want you to do some consulting work. :)
Like all the saturated colors. Everything looks in proper perspective for the piece.
Yes, very nicely done Don. The colours are spot-on and the composition is magical. Very creative and without doubt the lady will be in wonderland when she sees it.
On a technical note, did you create each character by digitally painting or modify an existing image of the character? I’ve tried over-painting photos, usually to change the clothing of a character in my composites, but I have not started from scratch. I do know how time-consuming an image of this complexity can be! Again, well done.
this absolutely amazing
she will love it for sure
I agree with the comment that you should contact Disney for work!

Awesome in conception and execution. The only thing I'd criticise is the vignette - just a touch darker than I'd prefer.

Thanks R.G. I grant you, it is a bit dark on the computer, however, when it goes to print, the darks are spot on.

Thanks Edie! Sorry, but we're all booked up through the holiday season.
