Adapting Nikon lenses to Sony mirrorless cameras

I read a lot of articles about using Canon lenses on the Sony a7 and a9 cameras, but not very much about using Nikon lenses on these cameras.

Adapters are made for both Canon and Nikon lens use on Sony cameras. Are the Canon lenses a better match?

Does anyone out there use Nikon lenses on the new Sony a7R 111?

I use lot of Nikon lenses on older version of the Sony, the original A7r. Works like a charm and I can guarantee it will work even better on the A7rIII as that one has in body stabilizing that works with the older glass. But one thing to mention, I only use cheap adapters for manual focusing and have no personal experience of using autofocus adapters between Nikon lenses and Sony E mount cameras.

Hi
I use a Carl Zeiss 100 f4 macro planar zf with an a7rii with a NovoFlex adapter. This is my main lens and it works without any issues whatever. The zf mount is a Nikon compatible mount and the Zeiss is one of the best lenses ever made in that formulation at that length in my opinion. The NovaFlex have no automatic features but neither does this lens
