The Giant Lanterns of China

The Royal Zoological Society Scotland is hosting an exhibition of Giant Lanterns from China's Sichuan province at Edinburgh Zoo. The Zoo's two Giant Pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang on loan from China have been a big success in terms of visitor numbers. However their hopes of successfully breeding the pair have so far come to zero. They don't particularly get on and she is only fertile for something like 36 hours in every 12 months so these lanterns are probably the closest we'll get to seeing panda cubs!
Nikon D7200, Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 lens, 1/35sec and ISO between 650 and 800 depending on lantern highlights.

Oh my. Those are stunning. Is this an everyday display or a holiday season only show. The reason I ask is that we expect to visit friends in Aberdeen next year.
