Chance of a few flurries.
There will be a chance of a few flurries today, not much precipitation, maybe an inch or two at the most! That's not exactly the picture I get when I look out the window!

I have shoveled a few of those flurries!!!!
But now I figure if Mother Nature put it out the she wants it there and who am I to mess with Mom!!!
Nothing beats shoveling a couple feet of partly cloudy off the drive!
My favorite one was from Colorado in 1997. The forecast was "No measurable accumulation." It turned out it wasn't measurable because they only had a yard stick and we got 4 feet of Rocky Mountain Champagne Powder.
It's that time of the year again...not looking forward to it.

I can see from your shot that there is a bit more than just a dusting to two inches!
That was the original prediction for the Blizzard of '78, which dumped over three feet of snow on the Northeast, paralyzing the region for nearly a week. It took my parents over three hours to pick me up at work and get back home, which was just a 6 mile round trip. Most drivers weren't prepared to drive in a few inches of snow, then employers wouldn't let anyone leave early, which turned into a gridlock situation at the end of the work day. My mother made the decision to turn the oven temperature down on the roast that she put into cook right before they headed out to pick me up, so it was only a little dry when we finally got home.
Travel bans were in place in many cities and towns for 4-5 days to allow enough time for road crews to bring in front end loaders to clear the roads. Vehicles put various versions of flags or ribbons on their antennas because the bankings at intersections were so high, you could only inch into an intersection until you could actually look for oncoming traffic. Vehicles were abandoned on highways, snowmobiles were brought into Boston to move oxygen, supplies, and employees between hospitals, vendors, and shelters.
But it looks like you fared much better in your recent storm.
I guess the weather forecaster was giving you a snow job!
I guess you did get a few flurries and the forecaster was right, except for the precipitation part. So far here in Pittsburgh, still waiting for the first major snowfall.
One thing about the winter rain in Seattle, you don't have to shovel it!😉
