I hope I am in the right section. I uploaded/downloaded the new Lightroom in the cloud. In the older version, under File, you were able to export the picture and make a few changes and send it to where you wanted it to go.
For the life of me, I cannot find that option. Is it no longer available? How would you send pictures with copyright, size, and quality size?
Thank you for all your help.

If you want the old features use the Lightroom Classic CC. The new cloud Lightroom CC is being designed to a different purpose. Some say Adobe will add functions until it has all the same things as Classic. Adobe says it differently. They will add functions as they determine what customers want in the cloud version.

So to answer your specific question, the Export dialog you are used to in the old (folder based) LR Classic does not exist in the new (cloud base) LR CC.

I don't have that software, but what happens when you right click the image? Does a menu appear with Export as an option? Also, is there a button on the desktop for <Export>?

But, you're still going to have to export somehow, right? I'm not understanding your comment at all ....

"How would you send pictures with copyright, size, and quality size? "

There is a "Save To" with "Original+Settings" or JPEG with compression choices. It will put a copy on your computer that can then be sent with copyright, size and quality. There is also a "Edit in Photoshop" direct link.

FWIW, I think both Lightrooms are great pieces of software but aimed at different purposes. What I think stinks is how badly the marketing communications has been. Somehow users think it is a good idea to switch to the new (cloud) Classic LR when the tools they need are in Classic. And somehow users think Classic is going away when there is no indication of that at all.

"I don't have that software". Which one do you have?

I saw your comment about "Save".

Just brilliant. After years of telling the inexperienced users there's no such thing as "save" in LR, they've gone and added into one of the software versions ...

Bill,

While I'm not a "guru" of LR Classic or Cloud, I believe one can install both from the Adobe Creative Cloud app/program. I have only installed Classic CC. The new LR Cloud would probably appeal to those preferring basic post processing and Cloud access of processed images. They are uniquely different. Please correct my limited understanding.

If one stops thinking about their classic, tried and proven work flows, the new (cloud) Lightroom CC is brilliant. What is not brilliant is how Adobe is explaining their new product.

The 10 year old Lightroom grew from the work flows in classic darkrooms but adapted to digital. The new Lightroom is being designed for and responding to the work flows and needs of the online community. The 10 year old one assumes your basic tool is one computer. The new cloud version has the fundamental assumption that you have lots of screens of different sizes with different operating systems AND they are synchronized.

In the context of this topic, the "saving" of an image file stored on servers to your computer for traditional work is a minor detail. That you can conveniently, quickly and simply put your image on Instagram is major.

"Lightroom" is now a special purpose software primarily for cellphone users. "Lightroom Classic" is the software for photographers that don't want everything in THE CLOUD.

Yes, the (cloud) Lightroom CC is for cellphone users. But also if they have a desktop, laptop, iPad, Android Tablet, Chromebook, Surface. And they work all together, all the time. Further, it is easier to get pictures and videos into the system with anything you have from DSLR to phone.

Use Lightroom Classic CC. Lightroom CC should be labeled as a beta project as it is not ready for prime time yet.

For the last little while the "Lightroom CC" is not the old lightroom you are used to, it is what was called "Lightroom Mobile" aimed at handheld and linked devices.
The old lightroom you are used to is now called "Lightroom Classic". Why they swapped the names around???? Ask Adobe, but it got a lot of people confused. Plus it keeps wanting me to install the Lightroom CC, I don't want it. And probably will never want it. And of course they killed the stand alone version LR 6, no more updates, no support and no LR 7 planned. So when new cameras come along you will have to convert with third party apps or the OEM software that comes with the camera and then import to LR 6 for editing if you use the stand alone.
