I came across this site and figured, hey why not, I'm sure there are many of you on here who can give a novice all kind of photography hints. I just love to snap a picture of anything that looks unique or interesting, sometimes it actually comes out half decent but, alas usually by pure chance.

Not bad at all Steve. The lighting could have been a little better for you tho. But it is a nice shot. And welcome! Good folks here too.

WElcome to the UHH...most photos are taken by pure chance. Being in the right place at the right time is usually it ! People looking at the same photo will give you different opinions but remember we all look through a different eye. No one is right or wrong...personal bias ! I like the butterfly .

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I am looking forward to any and all helpful hints in my pursuit of more enjoyable photographs. I think like most people, I see something random, unique or beautiful and just feel the need to take a picture, it may as well be the best that the eye or the equipment can capture.
