This is such a great bit of wisdom from Dr. Sproul. You may not know that he's got emphysema and I don't think he's got a lot of time left. He wrote a book called "Surprised by Suffering" and that's discussed also.

His words are a great comfort to believers, I hope if I get ill I handle it with this much grace and faith.

Sproul has been a tremendous positive influence on me as I have read most of his books, gone to the Ligonier Conference for the past 15 years and almost daily show his DVDs in the prison where I am a chaplain.I got the notification of his passing yesterday from Ligonier Years from now, history may record him in the same category as Luther. He will be missed. My own pastor had him as a professor when he went to seminary and I can't think of anyone who has done more to bring back historic biblical orthodox teaching than Dr. Sproul Usually we say, may he rest in peace. In this case we can know that he is resting in peace! Bob
