These shots were taken at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, a couple of miles from my home. It was, more or less, a test of my ability to use this lens on dynamic subjects. I think that these turned out fairly well for this 83 year old man. I think that I will use a monopod in the future for this type of work.

What lens was this? Do you mean the 150-600?

"Off hand", got to hand it to you, those are pretty darn good for hand held, bravo!

And guys, the left hand seat is the co-pilot seat.

I made quite a few landings from the right seat. Both cockpit crew members are pilots. Just one Captain though. Thanks for your kind reply.

Nope, it is a manual focus 600mm prime reflex(mirror).

If I'm not mistaken I think we are seeing these from what is the "right" side of the aircraft

Okay lets get this straight: If you are standing in the cockpit door way and you take a photo through the front windows with a DSLR having an 18mm lens, you will most likely see that the co-pilot will appear on the right side of the photo. Congruently, the pilot(captain) will appear on the left. This is the way that God made it so.

They are still great shots though.

It struck me funny as I was sitting here at the key board. Laughed at myself 'cause I have stick time, not a whole lot but enough to know better.
