Black and white shot using a shoebox pinhole camera.

I got bored the other day and decided to make a pinhole camera out of a shoebox. I cut up a coke can to make the pinhole material, and just sprayed the inside flat black and make a shutter out of a black piece of cardboard.
I used darkroom multigrade paper as a negative because I wanted to keep it simple. Then after I made the negative, I sandwhiched that with another piece of darkroom paper and made the positive.
This was a 25 second exposure in bright sun. There is a lots of falloff because my paper was too wide for the size and shape of the box...no light reached the sides or not much
I certainly have work to do to improve it but it's a fun start.

Never lazy, you were being extremely creative. Just think if this had been the first recorded image. The world would have looked on it in awe. I do some pinhole but I am lazy, I buy the cameras. Enjoy, it is a great pastime.

I actually bought one too, the Ilford Obscura (the black box) just to see how different the outcome would be. I haven't gotten it yet but when I do I'll take a few shots and post them.

Maybe a couple of garden faucets in place of knobs, perhaps a shower head here or there.....

I made one out of an oatmeal box years ago. Worked really well.
