As you look at this photo it seems like a typical photo done in the woods, using the log there are the prime subject...
OK...first off that log there is there, not layered. Secondly the blue you see is not the sky, it is the St. Lawrence River and on the top there is a tiny bit of shore on the opposite side of the river. Now in the middle you can some shore on this side and also I know the area well and amongst the trees there are roofs of houses at the bottom of the ridge. Finally I layed around with B-W and blackened each side a bit. It was a fun day there
