PARMA, Ohio At an unscheduled stop at Ziggys Pub and Restaurant, an Amherst, Ohio bar, President Barack Obama suggested that the channel be changed when he was made aware that televisions were showing Fox News.
Obama and Fox News have gone to war frequently during his three and a half years in office most recently over a sharply negative teaser shown on Fox and Friends that the White House took as a Fox News-sponsored attack ad on the president.
The Obama Administration frequently used the network as a proxy punching bag for its Republican opponents in the early years of his presidency. Fox's personalities, led by Glenn Beck, fired back with more and more incendiary comments, but a somewhat delicate balanced was reached after the 2010 election in which both sides toned down their rhetoric.
The exchange, per pooler Mark Landler:
As he thanked the group for their support, one of them, Jeff Hawks, gestured to one of the TV's and said, "You're in a building that has Fox news on."
Obama suggested that Hawks ask for it to be changed. "The customer is always right," he said.
"I'll arm-wrestle you for your vote," Hawks said to Obama. "No, I'll play basketball for your vote," he replied.

Nope. A man walks into a bar and asks the barkeep to change the station on the tv. No big deal.
Barkeep challenges a man to an arm wrestle, customer counters with a challenge of his own at a sport he is known to play. No big deal.
Don't see what the issue is, care to explain?
Let's see. My take away is that Obama has a personality. Romney on the other hand would have, what? Left Rachel Maddow on the TV, bought the TV station, ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio?
I don't get it either.
Talk about closed minds !

Care to explain how I have a closed mind on this? I don't understand what the big deal is. Is it just because it's the current President? Would you have posted this if it was involving Fred's Pub and it was Joe Blow was the customer?
I'm sorry I don't get why this is such a big deal?
MWAC, Maybe I can help, you see this man walks into a bar(the president) extream liberal and the bar has news on (Fox News) in his openion is extream conseritive and he asks to have the channel changed. The patrons are aginst the mans wish and offer sporting chalange for there right to keep the channel on and the pres. offers a counter sporting challange. The whole idea is a reflection of the IQ of both bar patrons and american politions, in eather it case may be lower than there shoe size.

Is the inability to spell a reflection of IQ?

This president has been such a delight. Policy aside, his wit and youthfulness has been most uplifting and rewarding. His sense of being a family man is second to none. If America had more dads like our president Obama, we be a far better country for it. He has handled the presidency with a great respect for this country, always moving with a calculating manner that shows that he 'gets it'. I'm really going to miss him come 2017.

My pleasure. Always happy to help where others are struggling.
Considering that this forum cannot see fit to have the ability to use "spell check" your remark is really uncalled for...

Me too. But don't worry, Hilary will also do an excellent job.
