I was working on this photo in Affinity and noticed a halo (probably not the correct terminology) along the vertical cable. This shot is SOOC. I would like to know what caused this. Any help is appreciated.
Canon &D Mark II
EF-S15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
ISO 400
1/640
f 13.0
When I enlarged it to about 150% or more it looks like possible some chromatic aberration along the edges of the cable.
I had to go back and look at it a second time and I could just barely make out what you're talking about around the part with the dark mountains in the background. It could be something to do with sharpening when you export it to jpeg. That's assuming it's shot in RAW. Otherwise, I have no friggin idea. Either way, no one but a photography buff would notice.
In the thumbnail I see a ghost outline where the cable is backdropped by the dark land mass. That's jpeg artefacts. If it's SOOC then it's the in-camera sharpening that the image gets when converted to jpeg.
I don't see any ghost outline or any kind of halo (diffuse or tight) in the download. So it's size-related and will probably get worse the more sharpening you add.
