Nikon D810 Camera Body
A Mint condition Nikon D810 camera body with only 2253 shutter clicks. I am the original owner and the camera is a U.S. model. I have the original box, strap, instruction manual and caps. I lost the original battery but I have 2 off brand batteries that work just fine. I am also including 5 CF cards, 1-32 gig, 2-16 gig, 1-8 gig and 1-4-gig. All cards work fine and they are high quality cards. I also have an off brand battery grip that has never been used. The camera is super clean, no marks or any blemishes. I had to have hip surgery and I will not be able to do any photography so I need to sell the camera. I am asking $2,100 for everything. Please let me know if you are interested. I will consider any offers. I will have images on Sunday. Thanks for looking.

Not trying to be a smart-a##, I just hate to see someone give up a wonderful hobby. Why not wait and see how things work out? and/or modify your style of photography if you have limitations in your movements.

Thanks for the support but the doctor said that my movements would be a lot less then before. I hope that he is wrong but so far the prognosis is not great. Thanks again.

I know a lot of people in your position. They stayed with photography and got mirrorless cameras or like a Canon SX50 or 60. Much lighter and they still got out to do some shooting. Stay positive.

I sympathize with your hip surgery. An elderly woman I know had hip surgery, and she never fully recovered from it. She ended up walking slowly afterwards, with the use of a cane. I hope you are able to continue some form of photography, even if using only a pocket camera. Good luck on your selling. Your D810 is virtually new.
Why to try photography from a seated position? I have gouty arthritis and with the pain in my back, knees, and hips I have to sit most of the time to do anything. I can stand for a few minutes sometimes to take shots but from the pain I am often unstable when standing. Therefore I shoot from a chair or whatever I can sit on, and ideally an electric cart or scooter. So now I have to drive to locations for shots, no hiking anymore. I'll even shoot from the car seats. What is going to stop me from doing photography is not getting around but arthritis and gout pain in my hands.

So you know, I have had both my hips replaced TWICE and still can carry my heavier Nikon gear just fine. Don't give up yet!

Don't give up yet I have had 3 hip replacements I do have restrictions and I'm not the man I use to be but I manage to shoot several times each week . Tripods monopods help but even hand held is manageable just faint do any mountain climbing etc
Good luck
Joe
I've also had a hip replacement. It slows me down quite a bit but there are so many different kinds or types of photography that don't require long hikes, walks or climbing. Macro photography at home on a table, light painting in your driveway, family portraits, from your car window, from a wheelchair, out your window. With a little imagination there can be many ways you can still enjoy photography.

I hope everything works out for the best for you. If you sell your camera, you can always purchase another one or a lighter camera if the doctor’s prognosis is not correct. When my mother, of blessed memory had her elbow rebuilt by a top surgeon years ago, he said he was hoping she would regain 75% of movement. After physical therapy, she regained close to 100% of movement. Doctor and my mom were both thrilled. Please, keep your chin up and hope for the best.
Find a local healer to go along with your physical therapy....and do everything PT tells you no matter the pain. Remarkable things can happen. The body is more capable than most realize. Chin up! Not another photography to aging or failing body parts.
I have seen small tripod adapters for wheelchairs if you are unfortunately confined to that allow you to maintain your hobby with little limitation. Hope all works out well.
In May I had my second back surgery in about a one year period. I was encouraged to go to PT after the stiches came out, but instead I decided to design and do my own therapy. I started with short walks accompanied by my wife and a walker. Eventually I got up to 100 feet without resting. When I was able to walk 100 yards with just using a cane, I looked for a project that would require me to walk, bend, lift, and stretch. One of my friends here on UHH suggested I build bird houses. This led to buying six Isa Brown chickens. Since May we now have 80 chickens and 5 ducks. Our original thought of small chicken coop to a remodeled grainery. The grainery is 40x40 and divided into 5 apartments with a 8x40 hall down the middle. It is totally insulated by Styrofoam and wall board. I work about 1 1/2 to 3 hours per day before I have to sit down and rest for the day. In the process, I lost weight, replaced muscle and restored my self worth.
What I hope I relayed with this post is that PT is necessary after surgery. PT doesn't end when you walk out of the PT center. You have to challenged yourself every day. For an aside, almost all of the materials were free off from Craig's List. The only exceptions were the screws and nails I didn't already have. I had all the electrical left over from many other jobs I did. How fast you recover is dependent on you and your dedication to your PT plan. Good luck Leon

Don't give up I just had a hip replacement replaced as it went bad, this time it has worked a miracle,
I can now walk with a cane and no walker so nice to be free again. I have always used my equipment to photograph landscapes and street whatever my physical capabilities were of course I could not and still do not walk far into the mountains but drove to different perspectives you need to learn to see your shots differently but they are there. Photography will help you get out and enjoy nature and life you have a great camera that's almost just broke in give yourself a chance you will be glad you did you will get better over time I will keep you in prayers and share the shots you find would love to see the progress.
