Tuesday we spent the morning at Black Point Wildlife Drive on Merritt Island. It was probably the best experience I have had there. The weather was perfect and the birds were plentiful. There was even an impressive assortment of butterflies! These are just some of the birds we saw. We spent a lot of time just watching the behaviors as well as shooting. The fishing techniques of these large predatory birds are amazing. Foot shuffling to stir the bottom, wing flapping to shade the water for visibility and that laser quick striking action - a very impressive and lethal combo.

There were more Roseate Spoonbills than I have seen before. These were very busy foraging.

Thank you, Bruce. I was a little out of practice but I did have a great time. You're right about the reflections. The lighting was just right for them!
