camera works fine in daylite, has motion sensor on the camera ,at night with flash ,the pic shows as a white as looking through a peg board shows a little as tiny holes in the splotches and a very small portion of the pic comes through

I have a Moultree with the infrared flash. I have not experienced that issue with mine. Sorry. I don't know how many photographers on this site are hunters, so most will probably not know what you are referring to. Might want to send a note to the service rep at the manufacturers site.

Bozsik, please interpret what the OP said. I know what type of camera he is talking about but I can't make sense of the gibberish he typed.

I had a similar problem....try scotch taping a piece of a milk white garbage bag over the flash to diffuse the light. You may have to double or triple layer it.

What?? Read the manual, then re-read it. You must have some settings wrong. You can figure it out, but if you're still troubled ask again. Did it rain in your area the night you had it set up? That might be the reason for the peg-board effect. Just because you bought a camera do NOT expect it to take decent pix. Do your homework and figure out how it works before you put it to use. Try that.....and read the darn Manual. 8-)

From what I can understand. The lighting is not even as if it were lighted through a peg board. The illuminator on some of the game cameras are provided by Leds. That might be the issue. Since everything is self-contained on the game cameras, there's not much user control over the image. I would refer to the manufacturer to see if the issue has happened with others. someone here has also suggested a diffuser over the illuminator, this would indicate the problem with the leds.

A sample photo would be nice though. we have people call in to our veterinary clinic and ask wht they should do with their animal. They want advise without actually seeing what the problem is. Difficult to do.

Thanks Bozsik. I too would like to see an example of this as I have been thinking of buying a camera like this to find out what varmint is eating my garden at night.

Your description is quite useless! Please post a sample and the responces will become more usefull.

It seems like you are using a regular flash lighting setup instead of infrared. This tends to spook game into not returning to this site in the future.

I would like to see some picks also. I may have had a something like this happen, what was happening to me was I had racoons crawling over the camera and it was shooting there white underside or part of it. I had to move the camera away from there travel route. I shot 16 picks of the skudders before I got a daylight picture of them.
