White's looking pretty aggressive this early in the game. Nice shot. If you don't mind, a suggestion or two for the future. Try shooting from behind or alongside one of the players, taking shots from about table level into a face, or over a shoulder down toward the table.
I sure do appreciate your suggestions Voss, That is something to store in the memory banks for the future. I particularly like the second one, making the pieces big relative to the players. They are hardly past the opening gambit. It looks like black has made some experimental moves and is now into damage limitation. I didn't stick around for the end although I should not imagine it took very long.
White is displaying an air of confidence that is hard to miss. On the other hand black looks to be rather indecisive. I like it mainly due to the facial expressions.
Thanks Dragonfist, I don't know if you have ever played chess but black has made an unconventional response to whites opening moves. To borrow a metaphor from a different game, he is about to get hammered into the long grass. He is about to loose a rook (castle) and a pawn and that can't be stopped. He might also loose a knight or a bishop depending on what he does next. He can't even play for time by moving his queen onto the rook line and putting white in check. With white's rook pawn missing, black would loose his queen. As you have noticed, the facial expressions reflect the state of play.
Does white have fewer pieces and his end is near.
It looks that way doesn't it John. There doesn't see to be a logical explanation why there is no pawn in front of the rooks and I can't see any on the far side of the board either. Sometimes people use coins to represent missing pieces. Either way white has got black on the ropes.
