I purchased the Canon 100-400 L II IS USM lens, which I absolutely love (photos below). I own a Canon Rebel T6s. Would it be worth it for me to purchase some extenders for further reach? If so, is there a certain brand you recommend that will work with my camera and this lens? I live out in the country and basically shoot wildlife and birds with this lens. Sad part, it is cold with winter upon us in NW Wisconsin and all my shots during this time of year are through a window. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I read your thoughts and looked at your first few photographs and it got me started to think. I was pondering if the added extra reach would add to the photographs until I saw the shot of the deer. I laughed at myself thinking, WHOA! How much closer would that shot be with an extender... and I pictured just about a quarter of the face or just his nose. LOL. The extenders are not all that expensive, so weigh the cost vs. the reach. Those are all great shots btw. Cheers.
Beautiful images---great work!

My first digital camera was a Canon Digital Rebel XT. I didn't have the money for a good long lens, so I purchased a Kenko 2X, which didn't report itself to the camera. Not knowing it couldn't focus, the camera just focused. The resulting images weren't as good as some of the examples here, but they were better than I would have obtained without the doubler.
