That is actually a very good photo of a tragic event.
I feel your pain, but I topped that in September: in the dark while driving on the state road that goes through the canyon where I photograph bighorn sheep and eagles, I ran over a sharp rock, and the tire went flat instantly from a huge gash on the inside!

Good tread on that tire too. Bad news.
It's a good thing you could not pull it unless you were where you wanted to be. The tire would go almost instantly flat when that debris was yanked.

I put my spare on before driving; the thump-thump-thump made me feel unsafe at any speed.

I'd have continued to drive on it . The tire was only flat on one side. :-) Glad you got things straightened out.
That stinks! I hope you could have it plugged.
Yea, I've had a few of those over the years. Hope you had that plugged without much problem.
your lucky. most cars sold today don't come with a spare. my sister just bought a new Jeep Compass and instead of a spare there is a kit with a can of tire sealer.
Geez, that's disastrous. Sorry to see you had to have that happen.
