Truth in some humor

One Nation, 'Under God.'

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a
classroom. The teacher was going to explain
evolution to the children. The teacher asked
a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree
outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass
outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see
if you can see the sky.

TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes
later) Yes, I saw the sky.

TEACHER: Did you see God up there?

TOMMY: No.

TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see
God because he isn't there. Possibly he just
doesn't exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the
boy some questions.

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked
the boy: Tommy, do you see the tree
outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass
outside?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the
teacher?

TOMMY: Yes

LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?

TOMMY: No

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we
were taught today in school, she possibly
may not even have one!

Countless autopsies and holy war causalities have proven that it is safe to assume every skull contains a brain. The reality of some kind of God or not is the realm of faith.

If he can be invented, he can be un-invented.

Be sure that you aren't confusing the difference between a brain and a mind.

mind |mīnd|
noun
1 the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought.

brain |brān|
noun
1 an organ of soft nervous tissue contained in the skull of vertebrates

As can be seen in all of the false gods that man has invented. Paul expresses it most eloquently in Romans 1:

8 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

All gods are created by man. All gods are dangerous to the survival of the human species.

"My God correct, your god not so much.", that's what they all say. These things are unknowable. That's where faith in a hunch comes into play.

I guess the idea of what the little girl was doing was lost on you. She was using the teacher's own logic to to show him the absurdity of that line of reasoning.

To put it into a simpler form:

If something cannot be seen then it doesn't exist.

Even though it's just a fictional story (and not a good one) it addresses a really bad argument that people use to deny God's existence.

How could you possibly know this?

If you are a thinking rational human, you cannot make statements like this...why?

Because to make a statement like that means that logically you'd have to have "all knowledge" and of course you don't.

You aren't claiming to have all knowledge are you?
