I am looking for a snowy mountain chain photo that I can have printed to 12" x 56". My wife has a Christmas village on top of our piano and I want to surprise her with a backdrop. Everything I have been able to find breaks up when expanded to my needed size. Thanks in advance

I spent 10 days in Colorado in may so I have several hundred snowy mountain photos. If you send me your email address I'll send you some samples

You might want to do a search on Model Railroad backdrops. There are several companies that use actual photos and provide them any length and height required.
BackdropJunction is one that comes to mind another is TRAINJUNKIES. both are .com

Have you tried purchasing one from a stock photo company?

Here is a company that provides full size stock photos free for personal use. Each photo is available at differnt sizes and some at greater detail than others.

Hi Curley. If you want to try optimizing an existing photo, you might give: BenVista PhotoZoom Classic. http://www.benvista.com/photozoompro a try. It is made to optimize photos for large prints. I have no stock in this company. There is a trial version available since the paid version is kind of pricey.

If I were your wife, and you presented me with someone else's photo, YOU would be the one getting the surprise!

Here are some pictures. The trick is finding the right one, the right size, without a watermark. I thought the one below was funny, exactly what you asked for. : )
