I've been going through my 'pre-digital' storage closet and came across these. Haven't found the negatives yet (these were scanned from prints I had made). I'm guessing late 1970s with an Olympus OM-1 and a 400 speed Ilford film. Most with a 50mm and, perhaps, a 135mm Olympus lens (still have them all). The last was in Boston, all of the others in Central Park NY.

The first photo cracks me up. Kids having uncontrolled fun on a jungle gym (that's what they called them when I was a kid). No helmets, no safety mat, no helicopter moms.

A nice collection. My favorites are numbers 2, 4, and 6.

I like #3 and #4. The look on that little girls face is something that I doubt could ever be posed. The little tyke in #4 looks like he is on a mission and very determined.

Very nice set indeed, A second vote for the Jungle Jim and no safety gear.

And we all drank out of the same bottle of pop (soda) and no one got sick. Mom was so proud when we were selected for the marines and we had to do an assault course with the drill sergeant yelling at us when we had never even climbed a tree before. Still the Game Boys we have these days are much safer. We just press the reset button and we get our life back. I think they prepare us better for what is to come and you don't have to socialise whilst you are doing it.

A fine set of photos. No's 3 & 7 for me. That little girl's smile is so cute and those slopes at the side of steps were a hell of a lot steeper as a kid than as a grown up. It is no wonder the kid is scared to let go. I remember that experience well.

Thank you all for taking the time to look. Fun digging around in the old stuff, but I have to admit that I don't miss those hours in the darkroom.
