I have seen some people have been waiting for months for the D850. How is this for service I went to a website on Monday 11/20/17 and put my name on a waiting list on Wednesday received email they have a shipment coming in next Wednesday.

I have noticed that too on this forum. You didn't mention the website. Some places are getting faster shipments, for whatever reasons. But, the first thing I would do upon receiving, is to check the serial number. I know one website that sells gray market camera gear, and it is not 42nd Street Photo. Enjoy your new D850.

Photo Service Supply is the one that I got the email on getting the D850 on ordering. This is not gray market.

If you had ordered it a month or two ago, I bet delivery would have still been on about the same day. It looks they are now shipping.
Adorama, Amazon, and B&H are shipping now.

Goodie for you, you now qualify for today's UHH smiley face award. Just make sure it is not a gray market, which is easier to get but you will not have a USA warranty and will be unable to receive servicing from Nikon in the US.

They may be getting shipments, but most stores are filling orders received in September or early October.

They may be shipping pre-orders, but none have any in stock to sell.
