Red-breasted Nuthatch & more

Went to a local pond and there were a few Red-breasted Nuthatches and one White-breasted (new bird for me!) and other birds.
First time I really got to see the nuthatches.
Went back twice to see the White-Nuthatches but I think they were gone for good. Darn it.
The pond houses several ducks including the Wood ducks. They are so beautiful.
One year there was a pair of Mandarin Ducks! But they never came back.
Lots of geese too. Mallards. Sometimes you will see turtles. I've yet gotten a photo of the Belted Kingfisher, though I have heard it.

Thanks, Vonzip. I was happy to stand close to them. If you don't move around much they keep coming back in.
It's the closet I've been to the Wood Ducks. I think they were hungry. I had a zip lock bag with cracked corn.
