Sounds like you might have a virus. :( ....or your hard-drive is too full...if it locks up...do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and choose...end task and it will close the program. Then renter the program and see how that works.....I hope it does! :) ë¿ë

Nope - -
But Firefox no longer supports PDF, Java, and several other plug-ins
There is a legacy version ESR ver 52 - - but THAT is 32-bit only AND has NO support for Dashlane (so USELESS)
Damm - - I HATE to think I'll have to go back to IE, but Mozilla is creating too many problems.

That doesn't work. It even locks task manager and won't let it work. It just goes into some sort of infinite loop. Virus checkers show no infections or malware. Only a cold reboot will let me out.

I've had locking up of keyboard on Smartphone with Firefox. Happened twice. Shutting off remedies it. Firefox is not the greatest.

Yup, sometimes, especially at Weather.com (takes forever, IF it loads. Most other sites work fine though.)
Looks like it might be the Toshiba laptops then? I'm using a Toshiba Satellite (from 2012), but the HP desktop seems to work fine. The computer at work works fine also. I'm only seeing the problem on my laptop. I'll have to see what my wife's laptop does with weather.com, it's a Toshiba also. Win 7 on all four.

I won't do IE. I use Chrome for weather.com on my laptop because of the loading problems...
Mostly everything else runs okay in FF.

Well - - yes - - I DO have a computer - after a fashion:

I suppose it could run just about anything out there - - but Chrome seems like a unicycle compared to Firefox or IE
I wonder if Opera is still viable ??

I have never really experienced any problems using Firefox as you mentioned. I use both Google and Firefox. I just recently upgraded to Firefox Quantum and have been very pleased with this new Browser. Although there are a few draw backs (extensions) and a new learning cure to overcome. But all in all it is far faster than the old Firefox. Listed below is a link that will enlighten you on this new release.

I don't have any problems with Firefox either -the original post was regarding use on some Toshiba laptops.
