Aspen Trees

A variety of shots of the aspen of Colorado's San Juan mountains. All but the last shot was taken during the autumn. For me, the trunks of the aspen trees are every bit as interesting and beautiful as the leaves. Choosing a good composition for showing the trunks of the trees can be very challenging. I am especially fond of the last image composition. Hope you enjoy.

Highly photogenic trees, I agree. And your trunk shots are definitely eye-catching. I particularly like #3 with the close trees filling so much of the frame, angling in and enveloping us. Beautifully done.

That is true, with perhaps the largest is the one found on Keebler Pass in Colorado. Huge!
