Property Taxes or Nikon 850?

My 2017 property tax notice arrived in the mail yesterday. It just happens that the property taxes are about the same as the price of a Nikon
D850.
So, should I pay the taxes; or order an 850?
The hit to the bank account will be the same; and my wife won't see the difference.

If only there were a way to avoid taxes. I'm okay with death, but taxes! And they keep eliminating our deductions.

We get the school bill in Sept and the town bill in Jan. I have a bit put into savings every month to cover both.

Now that is a tough one. Do you have an RV you can live in while you’re using that new 850? 🙄

Moving out of NY was one of the reasons I was able to retire at 55. I bought a bigger house on twice the property and my property tax is 12% of what the tax is today on my old house. Lower income taxes and no sales tax except for 4.75% on cars.

You have no choice. You must pay the tax or sell the 850 to pay attorney fees.

When are the taxes due, how much grace period can you get, then how long can you procrastinate, finally how long will it take to sell your house?

Are you serious? Let your taxes go delinquent and see how happy you will be. Do you really need a bunch of strangers to answer that question?

Buy the camera and offer free family portraits to the Assessor.

No. I was not serious. The check for the property taxes was written before the post was drafted.

I am too often taken more seriously than I intend to be, but I thought this would be understood.

She will notice when your home is sold for taxes and you are evicted.
