This means that except in rare cases, each lens can be used in only one situation. 🤔

Everyone has their go to lens. Thanks Rab-Eye for getting it.

Sorry you got offended. Let me try to explain: Using the same lens in different situations is rarely appropriate. And if you do not accept somebody's else opinion you have little chance to improve.

I am not offended for the most part, just was not asking for help or opinions on my work of asked for help. It is your opinion and everyones opinion is subjective when it comes to art. The lens is my go-to lens for landscapes period until I decide to use one of my others. I have other lens and use them when I feel they are required. I chose these because it is what I wanted and my vision for the scene I was viewing.

Several of your shots are not straight, otherwise, good job.

Possibly the first one could use some but in all of them the lay of the land and lack of a true horizon makes it hard to tell and can give the illusion of not being straight. The river shots all have bends and fold into their surroundings unlike a lake or ocean scene which is easy to follow a horizon and straighten. Thanks.

I knew you would see it my way. Seriously, sarcasm? Though I do agree you are entitled to your opinion. I don't expect everyone to like what I do or how I do it and you were trying to be helpful. I do it for me first and it makes me happy doing it and others also like it. Cant please everyone and everyone has their own vision and opinion which is good or all images would look the same and all would be boring.

I was so enthralled in the images, I forgot all about the lens. I too, have that lens, but the longer variety. You put on a master’s class in how to shoot with it. If your intent was to motivate, you succeeded!

Decided to post some of my work from this year. Most are shot with a Tokina 11-16mm lens, all are shot on a Nikon D7100 and all are multishot HDR captures. It has been a great year, as my body of work has made great leaps the past year. I will post more as time allows. Hope you enjoy.

Great images!!!
#2 is just a bit over saturated with green.

I find your signature a little distracting but find these well captured scenics phenomenal. I enjoyed viewing them and am glad you will be sharing more, Duane.

Actually it was left alone on vibrancy and saturation, believe it or not. The boulder field is dolomite limestone that sees hardly any direct daylight and everything is covered in moss and ferns plus this was spring with all the new growth. Thanks.

The one tricky thing with this lens is flare. Wrong angle to the sun and images can have lots of it but over all it is a very nice lens. Good luck shooting.
