Just saw a post about a new 35. It is called simply "Reflex"! I am saving my Christmas 2018 pennies NOW! Just found the site...https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reflexcamera/reflex-bringing-back-the-analogue-slr-camera

Who makes it? Where did you read about it?

Mixed feelings as far as me getting one. But I am excited to see something like this happen.

I Googled it, and you can see the whole story at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reflexcamera/reflex-bringing-back-the-analogue-slr-camera

It appears to be a Kickstarter deal for a "new" SLR camera that uses (are you ready for it?) FILM!

Could remember where I first saw it (this week), so I quickly went back to get the details for you. Did someone just re-invent the wheel?

A couple of interesting features that have actually been tried before with 35mm. Interchangeable lens mount via what is essentially a lens board like large format cameras and removable backs similar to modular medium format cameras.

When you look at the hundreds of thousands of WORKING name brand 35mm film cameras on the market for well under $100, its hard to believe a new, unproven, M42 mount body would garner very much interest except as an oddity. And a pretty expensive oddity at that!

If you read the description carefully, it states that the camera's lens mount will be interchangeable, so you don't necessarily need to use M42 lenses; only the lens supplied with the camera will be M42. The camera will be compatible with Canon FD, Nikon F, Olympus OM and Pentax PK lenses. And there are plans for a Minolta MD mount plate also. I wish I had a camera that versatile! The interchangeable film back is also very interesting. As far as I can tell, the price for the camera hasn't been determined yet... we'll have to wait and see exactly how "pretty expensive" it will be.

Oddity or not, but having a changeable filmback will probably get quite a few folks interested!
That's what I loved about my Rollei, back in the 80's was the interchangeable film back (not many 35mm cameras have or had that)!

Interesting but I can't buy one as I have way too many 35mm SLR's in perfect condition.
