Here is a third of the Asian girl. The tan lines don't show much here. Her hair had really nice reddish highlights.

I find this quite nice, but I wonder if a little less bending of the knees might have made for a more gentle body profile.

Nice image!!!!
I find the lighting well placed but a tad harsh, the background a bit distracting and the glare on edge of the table very distracting.
I also agree with John on the bend of her knees.

Knee bend doesn't bother me. Like the image but do agree light a tad to bright.

That's false advertising. You headline with "For tan line lovers" and then have no tan lines and admit it. It's overexposed too. Why don't you retitle it to....
"Tan lines in Alaska"

Tan lines can be taken out in Photoshop. I just did an example. Not too difficult if you have Photoshop.

I agree the main light was too strong. It was over her, just out of view. She couldn't extend her legs...because she was actually on a bookshelf!

I'm not a fan of blown out highlights.

It’s not the knees, I think. I’ve done a very similar pose; although the lower leg was straighter, the upper leg was bent even more. Really brought out the shape of the buttock.
I think it’s the shoulder bending towards the hip that foreshortens the figure. Bringing the shoulder up would stretch the figure. IMHO
Nice work!

Oh my I like that! Hey now!!

I think it’s a good moody light/shadows composition. :)) Good job!

Room for improvement next time - a tad overexposed in the highlights. And what is that red square in the upper left of the frame?
