Interesting alternative. I found, however, just as I suspected while reading the story that the face of the lady seems a bit overblown.

The closer the flash is, the more brutal it gets I think.

I thought his point was that the "overblown" face was supposedly a paparazzi good thing. I just posted it for a different idea.

My personal taste is "underblown" in portraits.

good point, and I agree with you as far as somewhat underexposing for portraits.

The "Rembrandt" look is hard to argue with.

They have to be kidding :shock:

Using a perfectly good hotshoe flash and cord to emulate a point & shoot built in flash???

They say the best thing for a pop-up flash ins Super Glue! :lol:
