Nice!! Some very brave men!!! I wonder if he knew my dad? I think he was on the same boat. He was a navigator that flue on the same boat I think. I will have to look through some of the pictures I have of him in the war.
st two were shot out from under him and he was one of the survivors who brought The Franklin home. Anyone familiar with WWII Naval history would really appreciate this record.

That's really a piece of history, Millsmote, and I was only two at the time, but can remember my family talking about it many times when I was older. I first read the book "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" better than sixty years ago, and several months ago viewed the "Pearl Harbor" movie with our youngest grandson which is sixteen. My wife and I had previously viewed it many times, but this was his first viewing and it really seem to make an impression, as he was not aware of the details, and know you will never forget your dad relaying all the details to you! That was a terrible war and we lost many brave soldiers! Take care!

They don't teach anything about the wars We have been involved in anymore, and why. That's why so many young people are under the impression that We went to Europe and killed so many people and took their oil, land, etc. . . It is a shame that these young people don't realize how many of Our Boys lost their lives so that Europe could be FREE.
