Forget D850, read about FujiFilm medium format

I recommend doing searches on the new FujiFilm medium format.
I'm waiting until Spring to make a decision... plenty of time to research this... and save money. No eating out, no trips, no buying anything and 4 months... how much can I save up? We never eat out, we never take trips, and I buy nothing anyways. I'm mortgage poor, folks. (My mortgage is killing me).

The Fuji looks really nice and I'd love to have one myself, but they are two different cameras geared to shooting different subjects.
They each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
I'd have both if I could.

Make the sacrifice for your art to move into your car. No mortgage, eat out always, take a trip whenever you get the notice on your windshield requiring you to move. I might be missing the downside.

Then your plan seems best.

Nice camera with shutter speed dial and aperture ring. And it also has an A on the aperture ring and an A on the shutter speed dial. No PSAM dial. Very nice.

I went to your website, and I see that you certainly know what you are talking about. I'm going back to your website to learn more.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love the fuji for landscape and even macro work (if they have a good macro lens), but the D850 is a better "jack of all trades" body IMO.

Seems as close to the perfect camera as anyone has ever made.
I love that it has:
A selectable raw file size option.....I don't need huge raw files all the time.
Tilt screen...high or low angle shots (loved that on my Olympus EM1)
and flicker detection for stills...shooting graduation in the gym was driving me nuts with inconsistent exposure and color balance.

My boss was asking if this is what I want next.
Hell yes!

This is the beauty of this website: put out a wild idea, and great people respond, and you learn a ton.

BTW: I have a car, just not in Boston. I don't need one here.
