Yet another discussion where people are worried about things that barely cross my mind. Forget the bags and tents and whatever. Just be careful and don’t drop a lens in the sand. Keep it simple and have fun. I don’t like sand beaches for the potential danger but would rather take pictures then mess with stuff.

Sand and salt spray get into everything. It seems the wind is always a factor at most ocean beaches. I usually pick a lens and go with it. And unless I'm actively using the camera, I put it in a ziplock bag and out of the sun.
