I had a Lexar recover program for my cf and sd cards on my old computer, well it took a crap, just bought a new cf card from Lexar, went to their web site to download the software to recover images. but I see that as of 8/2017 "longsys" owns Lexar. and does not have that recovery program available. what would you recommend as a good recovery program pay or free,

It's always nice to hear about a happy ending.

Glad you have it working. The software was there. I downloaded version 5 at that site. If don't have version 5 you may want to download it.

AFAIK, the Lexar brand will remain and all will be back in stock soon, probably by year end. I was surprised, no shocked, to see Lexar at the recent Photo Plus East show in NYC, where they had a booth. The brand has been purchased by the company that was manufacturing the products for them so all should be good. I have no inside information other than my brief conversation, but I am also now much more hopefull as I am deep into the XQD card format. Let's hope for the best.
